What a week! I'm thrilled with the amount of spontaneous alerts Bailey has offered me. In the past seven days, he has offered spontaneous high alerts every single day. On the 29th September, he offered a total of four spontaneous alerts spread out over the course of the day and ranging between 13.1 and 15.5. He has been an absolute fuss pot!
He is alerting me in different rooms of the house and I'm getting used to feeling a bump on the back of my leg when I'm busy with something. He has also offered repeated alerts after the initial one is given. This is fantastic. It shows that he's focused on his job and always checking. Such a huge leap forward, obviously his confidence is growing. Jason has only had four lows during this time and Bailey alerted spontaneously to two of these, one directly alerting to Jason! With the other two, he alerted after Jason prompted him by exhaling softly near his nose.
One night Bailey alerted my husband as I was in another room with the door closed. This is the first time he has alerted Chris. It is reassuring to know that Bailey will alert to someone else besides Jason or myself if need be.
For the past week, I have found Bailey lying above Jason's head early in the morning when he is still asleep, licking the little punctures on his fingers from the constant lancing to read his BGL's.
He cares for him in all the ways he knows how.
